Join the Spartanburg Science Center, the Spartanburg Area Conservancy, and the USC Upstate Foundation for a celebration of student photography captured through the 'Seeing Through Their Eyes' STEAM initiative.
The top 30 student photographs will be on display, chosen by a panel of professional photographers from more than 6,500 images developed from the initiative. Over 300 students participated in the STEAM program that asked them to take photos of the nature they saw around them during the pandemic.
This Artwalk event will be held on Thursday, March 18th from 5-8pm in the Jennifer Evins Lobby at the Chapman Cultural Center. The event will also expand into the courtyard to allow for spacing out and children’s activities, masks will be required.
This program was possible thanks to generous funding by the Spartanburg County Foundation, the Mary Black Foundation, The USC Upstate Foundation and the EMK Foundation.

SPACE hosts a multitude of events throughout the year. As an organization focused on land conservation and environmental protection, we’ve launched an initiative to focus on sustainability efforts during our fundraisers and small events. With help from local composting company, Atlas Organics, we’re making composting a priority at our two big fundraisers (Bonnamoo and A Shucking Good Time). Thanks to local artists Frankie Zombie and Maggie MacDonald, you won’t miss the compost cans at these events! Want to help make our events more sustainable? Share a ride and bring your own non-glass tumblers with you. Working together we can make an impact!
