Please join SPACE and Thicketty Mountain Farms for an exciting new spring event: Bonnamoo! You won’t want to miss this celebration of music, food, and farms at our beautiful Cleveland Preserve Farm. We’ve wanted to showcase this property for a while and we’ve found the perfect opportunity!

Those dining with us will enjoy a unique dinner carefully crafted by well-known Spartanburg chefs William and Jamie Cribb with wine pairings by Greg Atkins. The chefs will source local ingredients from their friends at Full Circle Farm, Lilly Mae Organics, and Colonial Milling. Featured on the menu will be grass-fed, sustainably raised beef from Thicketty Mountain Farm, Spartanburg’s only organic cattle farm, whose home is SPACE’s own Cleveland Preserve Farm. Every seat will be a seat at the chef’s table as guests enjoy a spectacularly paired farm-to-table experience. Local musician, Janeen Scott will play while guests enjoy their meal. SPACE is grateful for our many supporters; the Bonnamoo dinner is presented by Pacolet Milliken and sponsored by the Johnson Group.
Following the dinner, guests are invited to mosey down the hill to enjoy a live performance by the Shane Pruitt Band, a Spartanburg favorite whose music embodies a regional tradition of blues and gospel while bringing its original tone and flare to every performance. Once the stage is warmed up, musical headliners Southern Culture On The Skids (SCOTS) will take the stage! SCOTS has been consistently recording and touring around the world since 1983. Their music has been featured in movies and TV, and their legendary live shows are a testament to the therapeutic powers of foot-stomping, butt-shaking rock-and-roll.
If you’re interested in coming to the Shane Pruitt Band and SCOTS performance but not the farm-to-table dinner, please purchase your ticket here.
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors who help make this event possible: ALINE, Atlas Organics, Budweiser of Spartanburg, Cannon Roofing, Cassell Electric, Cedar Spring Dentistry, Green Paper Products, the Johnson Group, McMillan Pazdan Smith, the Milliken Foundation, Pacolet Milliken, Skye Webster, and WNCW.
SPACE hosts a multitude of events throughout the year. As an organization focused on land conservation and environmental protection, we’ve launched an initiative to focus on sustainability efforts during our fundraisers and small events. With help from local composting company, Atlas Organics, we’re making composting a priority at our two big fundraisers (Bonnamoo and A Shucking Good Time). Thanks to local artists Frankie Zombie and Maggie MacDonald, you won’t miss the compost cans at these events! Want to help make our events more sustainable? Share a ride and bring your own non-glass tumblers with you. Working together we can make an impact!
The 4th Annual "A Shucking Good Time" presented by Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System raised $30,000 for SPACE to support our mission of land conservation. 3K was raised for the Cottonwood Trail Boardwalk Restoration Project. Thanks to our composting efforts, 838 pounds of waste was diverted from the landfill.
